“I think it’s time to learn how to be a guardian to myself, and my feelings.”

This is such a short, simple but very important read. It details what impact we are having on the environment, specifically the ocean, and that every change we make in the right direction, no matter how small, is significant. It showcases how important the ocean is for us, and the negative impact that damaging it has on us.

I really appreciate the resources and information Kay includes at the end of what’s going on and how we as the readers can help out to help preserve what’s left of the coral reef.

This is also a given for Kay’s books but as always, the art style and illustrations are gorgeous and the blend of real world issues combined with magic, with the aquicorns was beautifully done.

The exact kind of gentle story about taking care of your environment that you'd expect from [a:Katie O'Neill|7831390|Katie O'Neill|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1531160815p2/7831390.jpg]. I love her illustrations.

This was a cute short story about a girl who tries to help heal the ocean with the help of a small fishing village. The illustrations were lovely and the story was as well. This is truly an adorable children’s read!
