This was ADORABLE. I may have even liked it more than the Tea Dragon Society series. This was everything I needed right now. So cute with such an important message behind it.

This just felt a bit short to tie multiple elements ; the author tried to stuff into a small book ; in a bow

But boi do I love their work 💖✨

Katie O’Neill has one of the most adorable and most gorgeous illustrations. I have never loved the illustrations in anything as much as I do in this book. I loved the adorable f/f romance and all the characters. I loved that Aquicorn Cove addressed the harms in fishing sea creatures and the harm of what plastic can do to our beautiful seas. I will definitely have to check out The Tea Dragon Society.

Such an adorable book, and the author continues their theme of touching on difficult topics in kids books, this time grief and relationships and caring for out environment.

This is cute little story of a girl who lost her mother recently and trying to cope. There are some heart-touching moments but the book is light enough to get going. Illustrations are really beautiful and story flows naturally.
There is hint of lesbian romance between Lana's aunt and sea-goddess which I think was nice touch as well...

TW: death of a parent, drowning and near drowning

All of O'Niell's books radiate such pure calm. Even this story, about the urgency of pollution, is like a warm hug. The message is important. Everyone, even us little people, must do our part.
