Goddammit. Every single book in this series is gonna make me bawl like a baby, isn't it. UGHHH. I love it.

I related a lot to Noah's insecurity and resentment about not being good enough so when he finally broke down and faced his feelings, I was S O B B I N G. It was cathartic though.

I love the friends to lovers trope but the first half of this book was exasperating. Alexis and Noah were willfully ignoring their feelings for each other despite all the evidence. I know, neither of them were emotionally ready for it and it wasn't dragged out TOO long but I do hate when characters actively lie to themselves because they're being cowardly, even if it's valid. It just annoys me.

The aftermath of the final big blowup was honestly pretty unsatisfactory for me. Cayden was a prejudiced asshole who didn't get what he deserved, Marsh was a chauvinistic asshole who got what he deserved but only for like a minute. He can fuck right off with his "a man should do x" and "be a man" proclamations.

I am SO. EXCITED. For Vlad's story!!! I can't wait to see inside his head and get some real emotional and intellectual depth from him, so he's not just the stinky Russian anymore.

. . .

YESSS IT'S NOAH!!! ALSO FRIENDS TO LOVERS!!!! MY BODY IS READY!!!

I don’t know why I like these books even though they’re so cringe at times. But I do like the modern problems they bring up and the lovable characters.

GAH! I loved this one more than the first AND the second one. Alexis and Noah are too freaking cute. The family dynamics in this story were heartbreaking and interesting. The scenes with Beefcake had me rolllin. I do think that "The Russian" has become almost too much of a caricature of a person. It's to the point where I am not even interested in reading his book that comes out in a few months. I hope the author can change my mind. I will still be reading it, as this series is so darn enjoyable to read.

Read this one with your fluffiest kitty friend.
