This was definitely my favorite book of the three Bromance Book Club books I've read so far! I really enjoyed the friends-to-lovers trope in this book. I don't normally read books with that trope in it, so it was really refreshing to read this story. Beefcake was definitely a star of this book for me, and I was cackling for any scene that he was there for - I am in love. I found that the actual Bromance Book Club didn't have as much of a role to play in this book, but I didn't mind, since Alexis and Noah's story more than make up for it. Noah is such a sweetheart and, at the end of the book especially, I really related to him in terms of feelings of anger and never letting it go, so I really enjoyed his story arc for that. Alexis was such a great character, and I really admired her progression through the book, and how she realized that it is ok to fight for yourself and what you want, and that you should not let people silence you. There were definitely a lot of messages that I took away from her and Noah, and I loved the story!

Easily my favorite of the series so far! Alexis and Noah. Ugh, so good. They had so much depth, and I was rooting for them from the start. Plus, I just really love friends-to-lovers. If you only read one book in this series, this would be the one to pick up.

The boys are back in the fun, heart pounding romance vibe in book three, a friends to lovers trope, Will they or won't they? that is the question when it appears that a long running friendship just may be on the cusp of romance. I wonderful addition to this original, fun series!

I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

"Forgiveness means recognizing that you are a different person because of the pain but realizing that so are they because of the pain they caused. I think it’s deciding that the new people you are, are better people, and that together you’re worth something."

I can't believe we're being blessed with not one, but TWO bromance books in 2020!! Crazy Stupid Bromance is the third book in the Bromance Book Club series and it can be read as a standalone. The events from the previous book heavily involved the hero and heroine, so they are definitely mentioned in this book.

I have a confession to make. This is the third bromance book and I think I'm ready to admit that I actually read these books for the bromance, not the romance 😂 Everytime I pick up a new bromance book, I immediately look forward to the bros hanging out more than I actually look forward to the romance. But Crazy Stupid Bromance's strength lies in the romance itself as opposed to the bromance.

Noah is in love with his best friend, Alexis. But he doesn't want to take things forward because he's scared of ruining their friendship. The transition from friends to lovers is so well done. I love Noah and Alexis's relationship as both friends and lovers. In my opinion, their romance is probably the most romantic one so far in the series. There was so much intimacy between Noah and Alexis from the very beginning that it felt as if they were already a couple even when they were strictly friends.

The main conflict in this book is family-themed. Alexis finds her biological father and her life is completely turned upside down. Her mom is not there to answer her questions, but Noah is there to support Alexis every step of the way. Noah himself has a lot of anger and resentment boiling inside of him when it comes to his father's death. There's a lot of grief over a parent's death that both Alexis and Noah have to navigate and their emotions felt so raw and authentic to me. Hands down, out of all the Bromance books, Crazy Stupid Bromance made me feel the most.

As a side note, some of the new characters really pissed me off. So...fair warning. LKA really knows how to push my buttons with irritating characters lol. As for the bros, they were great!! We have a new addition to the team: Colton. I'm also really excited for Vlad's book! And I have an inkling about Colton and a certain someone.

This series is just really enjoyable. I usually really enjoy the plot and the characters. I didn’t feel super connected to the characters in this one but the story was still good. I’m at the point in the series now where things feel kind of redundant. I only have 2 books left in the series and I’m so happy to be almost done.

This is the third one I have read in the series and I really like them. The second was my favorite, but this keeps going some of the things that work so well; a funny circle of guys who are okay with emotions, honest funny relationships between men and women, and a bit of heartbreak in peoples lives, cause most people have some. I have read a fair amount of romances in the covid era as escapist and sometimes formulaic fare, but the contemporary ones with a sense of humor and a decent dose of real conflict are the ones I like. When it comes to love this book is clear that we are all often very insecure and that can be great conflict and lead to vulnerability. I don't know if I am up for another book with this same formula, but if this author keeps leaning into both jokes and emotion I could definitely be.

Alexis and Noah’s story seemed so much sadder than the other ones I’d read so far. The issues that both characters faced in their lives - her, with the loss of her mom to cancer, not knowing her father and the sexual assault and aftermath with Royce, and him with the loss of his father and the emotional abuse from Marsh - was quite heavy and I don’t think this story is for those who have issues with many of those things mentioned above.

I liked how imperfect both characters were and how they supported each other, even when they broke up because they were both sad about the other not trusting them enough.

This was a tough read emotionally, but it was good and it had its funny moments (here’s looking at you, spa scene!).

I will definitely be picking up the next in the series.
