3.85 AVERAGE

This felt like a soap opera to me - family drama with a romance subplot. And the heroine was too self sacrificing for my taste. The other books in the series are cute though!

La historia fue buena, pero me costó al inicio engancharme. Alexa y Noah, estuvieron bien pero no han sido mis favoritos. Agradable en general.

This series is going downhill for me with each installment. These two main characters had so many Feelings! It was just ridiculous and exhausting. The sheer emotional intensity got old super quick. The romance was pretty cheesy. One of the most cringy lines was, “Her voice was as breathless as a Taylor Swift ballad.” Ugh.
It’s the friends to lovers trope. But Noah says “what are friends for?” about two dozen times and wonders why he’s in the friend zone.

Why did I wait so long to continue this series after reading and loving the first two!? I don’t know, but don’t make the same mistake!

This is a friends-to-lovers story about Alexis, owner of Toe Beans Cat Cafe, and Noah, a genius computer hacker-turned security expert. We get some wonderful (and spicy) scenes between these two, and I loved their romance. I sort of wanted to shout at them to open their eyes and stop being dumb, but I also understood their hesitations and thought their romance was realistic. I also really enjoyed their personal storylines, both involving complex family issues, and the way their characters developed as a result.

As always, the bromance book club is entertaining and was fun to catch up with. You don’t have to have read the first two books, but I recommend it because the whole series is fantastic!

4.5 ⭐️ this was so cute and actually made me lol

As stitch-in-your-side funny as expected considering the major cock-block is an overweight Maine Coon named "Beefcake"

Somehow I forgot to review this book! What the heck self!

But, I'm giving it a belated 3.75. I was not a fan of how often these two characters chose to not talk to each other. I am very tired of adults not communicating as the 'main' trope used to keep people apart. Baggage issues is one thing, having issues AND not articulating at least how you feel is a WHOLE other thing.

I did however like the strength of these two characters overall. And the sub plot of organ donation was interesting and seemed well researched and plausible, though a little over the top for my liking.

I loved how she incorporated the book and book club topic into the main narrative though, and will happily continue reading about these men making themselves better people to love not only their partners, but themselves and each other too. What a story world.
