What the fish kind of ending was that. The whole book was great but the ending sucked. I wish that I could unread the last chapter.

It's only slightly better than the other word that followed me for years after my mom's death, a snakelike hiss, undulating, leaving its trail of poison: Suicide. A sideways word, a word that people whisper and mutter and cough: a word that must be squeezed out behind cupped palms of murmured behind closed doors. It was only in my dreams that I heard the word shouted, screamed.

Sometimes I feel there are two me’s, one coasting directly on top of the other. The superficial me, who nods when she’s supposed to nod and says what she’s supposed to say, and some other, deeper part, the part that worries and dreams and says “Gray.” Most of the time they move along in sync and I hardly notice the split, but sometimes it feels as though I’m two whole different people and I could rip apart at any second.

Amazing suspenseful book that had me hooked from the first few chapters! I couldn’t put it down 🤣

It wasn't what I expected from a dystopian, it was more love based and a bit slow. I like my dystopian to be action packed and fade paced. It's not I didn't like the book, I was not in the mood for it.

This was a really good book!! But I haven't heard the best things about the rest of the series so I'm keeping my fingers crossed as I continue to read.

This is a high 3 and I definitely took more than one day to read this lol. Solid 3.5 really. Won’t be continuing the series cuz I just didn’t care enough about the characters really.

I am not the target audience anymore- i read this book years ago, but now that I'm closer to 40 than 30, its hard to get fully into a book about teenagers. Overall, great writing and story! A little too much Romeo-and-Juliet-die-for-love. Ends on a major cliff hanger
