Took me a while to read this one.. Which is no reflection of the book. Just been busy.. Loved this book and can't wait to read the rest of the series!

Loved this book. Love, love, love.

Lena has a problem with saying the L-word, Love. In her society, Love is the mother of all diseases. And the cure is a surgical procedure that makes you incapable of love. Obviously, as cliche stories go, she falls in love before her procedure. And chaos ensues.

Honestly, this book is very, very cliche. But somehow, I loved it. (LOVE). The writing is in present tense, so it gives the sense of actually being there, like you're a little floating speck of dust that follows Lena where ever she goes. This book was very romance based. No love triangles, just romance based. She loves Alex a lot. But my point is that despite the fact that it's obviously a Utopia book, it didn't have much politics. It was mostly "Alex! Alex!"

But still, I really liked it, considering... It's a lot like Matched, come to think of it, except they have a different Utopia setting. Anyways, I suggest you give it a try. It was worth it!

Místy sice trochu zdlouhavé, ale jinak dokonalé... :))
adventurous challenging emotional mysterious tense medium-paced

Started crazy slow but the second half was was much better!

This story was awesome! I loved that concept that Love is a disease in the future. It certainly makes the story interesting. I recommend this story to everyone!

Not my favorite, was a struggle to get through. I liked the ending though and wish the series would have stopped there.

It was an o.k. read, and interesting that it takes place in Portland, ME. I was able to finish the book, but some parts were slow and even towards the end I wasn't eager to finish. It was not a page turner at points where I felt it should be.
