Quite lovely. Was reminded of Anthem and Catching Fire. Ending is a bit rushed, but I'm hoping that just means there's a second book set in the same world coming down the pike. . .

Wow Lauren Oliver you wrote an amazing book!! Oh my gosh i was tearing through it. It was soo deep and personal... Wow just amazing i loved Lena and Alex was amazing! Just so so beautiful i loved this book

Oh My God. This book is the literal definition of a good dystopian romance. I mean no offense to the romances that are famous or that other people deam as the best, but this book beats them all. To anyone who has even considered reading this book I say “do it. It will be so worth it”. This is the type of book that draws you in with every word and makes you wish that the story would never end. If you have read any of my other reviews you will know that I say this a lot ( like A LOT) but this is one of the times when you need to say this. And thank gosh that Lauren Oliver had blessed us wit hi three of these novels.

So this story is about a a young woman named Lena Haloway, Lena is a strong female character. She meets a charming, wonderful man named Alex and they begin a beautiful star-crossed lovers romance.

This novel takes you on a wild journey. It’s an emotional roller coaster that will take you trekking through the deepest water and soaring over the tallest peaks.

If you haven’t read this book already than you are missing something from your life.

P.s. sorry for being really pushy about this novel I just really love it

Happy reading

Wow

Oh my god. This book is amazing. LOVE. Ha the irony. I suggest to anyone who loves dystopian with some good romance. Can't wait for the next one!

The story line of this book is plain boring. The author created an average dystopia but all this story about the girl meeting and falling in love with this 'foreigner boy' makes the story appeal to the trashy young adult romance books. This book was enough for me to decide to not read the other two books. However, I did find the book easy to read and would just recommend if you are really bored and have nothing else to read.

Really like amazing ending

Such a big cliche.... At least there are good quotes

I will be honest. More could have happened with this book. It wasn't fast paced and it wasn't an adventure. But that's fine because it's mainly a romance, and what it did there was enough to keep me interested. There was a time or two when I thought of switching to another book, but I decided to stick with it.

The ending though, is not happy. It's lucky that there is a sequel due out in a couple months. I'm not going to give away the ending. I like having a sense of the ending without actually knowing the details, it makes it interesting. Even if the ending doesn't end happily, it's an extremely well done ending and it makes you want the sequel.

The thing that kept me reading wasn't the romance, which is plentiful and fluffy. What kept me reading was the premise. The United States of America has become a nation where love is a disease, which must be 'cured' at eighteen. That's the lie. The truth is that they want a way to control you, to make you subservient to their will. Because without passion, which is fueled by a love of something, you have no will to fight. The author didn't show it this way, but that's how I interpreted it. I want to know how they fight against this government. I want to see them win.

This is the thing about dystopians; the thing that pulls us in. A new world. A new system of living. I can't stop reading this genre. I probably never will. I loved this book and I am lucky enough to have the sequel. I'll let you know if it's good.
