You know I will admit deep down I fuck with an age gap and a ex-boyfriend dad story, the pleasures of fiction being fiction.
Especially when it’s done right, because hot mama!!! However, this is not one of those times.
The relationship felt soooo juvenile.
Honesty was genuinely trying to do the mental olympics trying to figure out why both these characters felt emotionally and mentally stunted.
This book just lowkey cringey and badly written.

One of my top books from 2023. Something about this book just did it for me!! I absolutely love Fisher and Noah. The tension is palpable, the banter, the suspense piece, I mean every part of the book hits. Each of the side characters have such an appeal to them without taking away from the main characters! Also grandma Hollis is my freaking fav!! Have I reread? YES will I continue to reread? YES

Here With Me is book #1 Brooke Montgomery’s Sugarland Creek Series. The Hollis’s own Sugarland Creek Ranch and Noah is their only daughter. She is a successful horse trainer at only 22 years old. She’s a spitfire, confident and carefree. When she sees a hot man eyeing her at the rodeo she is attending she confronts him and invites him to the bar she tends that night. Fischer takes her up on the invite and immediately there is an instant tension/ connection between them. After a “one night stand” she gins out it’s her ex boyfriend’s dad. The next time she sees him he has been hired at her family’s ranch!!
I loved the immediate connection between the two, and the plot twists involved. The character development and growth was amazing, especially in Jase, Fisher’s son/ Noah’s ex! If you love age gap, ex boy friends dad, one night stand, forced proximity, small town cowboy romance this is for you. I am so excited to continue reading this series.
