The first half felt off, kind of boring and awkward, like 3 stars, but the second half and the climax was super good and bumped the score back up to 4 stars! The writing in the climax was descriptive and compelling.
Was almost a bleh book but Riordan was able to save it :)

The Percy Jackson books are extremely formulaic bit putting that predictability aside this was a good listen. It was not as interesting or exciting as some of the others and I do feel both Zoey Nightshade and Thalia were throw-away characters (unpopular opinion?) but altogether I enjoyed it.

There’s something about a good hook and likeable characters that gets cozy. Percy Jackson does that well.

It was better than the last ones, however, the characters are definitely getting smarter. I believe Percy is the one who has grown the most. And finally we see a proper reaction from hearing the nees that your loved one died. Not from Percy, that would be too realistic, but from a child, a little boy. Still, baby steps. Also, I keep hearing how amazing and kind Sally Jackson is, but she can easily be in the list of neglectful parents. On the other hand, I don't like how the relationship between Annabeth and her parents was handled.

Another fun installment in the Percy Jackson World. I am really enjoying my  re-read of this series.

Love the addition of the Hunters, getting to meet Thalia and how the o earthing plot to save the world thickens. A fast paced read with plenty of Monsters to fight and mythical creatures to meet.

💬: “And the next thing I knew, one of them grabbed Thalia and me, the other grabbed Zoë and Grover, and we flew straight up, over the dam and the river, the skeleton warriors shrinking to tiny specks below us and the sound of gunfire echoing off the sides of the mountains."

👩🏾‍🏫My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5

Percy Jackson - The Titan's Curse by Rick Riordan is the third book in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians middle grade series. In this book, Anabeth goes missing at the beginning with a mission that had just gone wrong. Percy, Annabeth, Thalia, and Grover are tasked with helping two new half-bloods back to Camp Half-Blood. Will Percy and the gang be able to save Annabeth.

The Titan's Curse has a lot of action and adventure, this series is really a joy to read. This book was really entertaining, I'm really starting to love the growing cast of characters. There are honestly so many new characters in this book and reading about them and seeing their personalities and reactions to certain things is really exciting. There was a nice cliff hanger at the end of this, it makes me want to read the rest of the series immediately.

Overall, this book was exciting and entertaining just like the previous books in the series.  I'm giving this 5 stars out of 5
