With 3.5 stars, The Titan’s Curse is my favorite Percy Jackson novel until now. We’re introduced to many great characters here and the story just gets a bit more serious while still taking itself not too seriously, leading to many funny moments.

This time, it’s not Grover who got kidnapped, but Annabeth and later
Artemis
by Luke and his followers. On their travel to rescue them, Percy and Grover get the support of many new characters. The pace is not as fast as in the previous novels, but we still have the artificial time pressure which is more of a running gag than a cliché now. But one cliché that actually did annoy me was the
”characters being secretly related to each other”-cliché
which always makes me roll my eyes.

Compared to the previous books though, I really liked the settings, like the snowier settings at the beginning or the Hoover Dam – even though I always picture it like it looks in Fallout New Vegas lmao. I also always enjoy it when the gods are undercover in the human world and helping our heroes. The finale was so amazing as well:
Thalia seemingly killing Luke was such an epic moment, even though he’s not really dead. Them defeating Atlas was so amazing as well, just like Annabeth’s dad saving the day. In contrast, Zoe’s death was so sad and not so emotionless like Bianca’s death, where I first thought it would the same thing like with Tyson

I noticed that there’s not one character I dislike since they’re all written so amazingly. I still love our main cast, and additionally really like Apollo and Ares. With Nico, Bianca, Thalia, and the huntresses, we get a great addition of the cast, even though
it’s a bit sad that Bianca, Thalia, and Zoe are all gone at the end. They were all such great strong female characters and I wished they would’ve stayed for longer. I also feel so sorry for Nico and wonder what will happen next now that we know that he’s Hades son

With The Titan’s Curse, I definitely got more invested in the Percy Jackson series and its character. There are quite a few unresolved conflicts that make me curious how the series will continue.

💬: “And the next thing I knew, one of them grabbed Thalia and me, the other grabbed Zoë and Grover, and we flew straight up, over the dam and the river, the skeleton warriors shrinking to tiny specks below us and the sound of gunfire echoing off the sides of the mountains."

👩🏾‍🏫My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5

Percy Jackson - The Titan's Curse by Rick Riordan is the third book in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians middle grade series. In this book, Anabeth goes missing at the beginning with a mission that had just gone wrong. Percy, Annabeth, Thalia, and Grover are tasked with helping two new half-bloods back to Camp Half-Blood. Will Percy and the gang be able to save Annabeth?

The Titan's Curse has a lot of action and adventure, this series is really a joy to read. This book was really entertaining, I'm really starting to love the growing cast of characters. There are honestly so many new characters in this book and reading about them and seeing their personalities and reactions to certain things is really exciting. There was a nice cliff hanger at the end of this, it makes me want to read the rest of the series immediately.

Overall, this book was exciting and entertaining just like the previous books in the series. I'm giving this 5 stars out of 5

I do not know why it took me so long to finish this book is amazing the series is finally getting into the real main plot . The fact that
two characters die
is weird to me given that is a children's book but i like it nonetheless because a good book is a book that makes you cry. Quote me on that. P.s PERCYBETH>>>>>
