I was just starting to get to the point where I was about to yell out loud at Chu Wanning and Mo Ran to just say something already when Mo Ran finally, finally told Chu Wanning he likes him. With how slowly these two move along, I'm genuinely terrified that we might be right back where we started at the beginning of the next book since nothing actually happened between them and they seem desperate to misunderstand each other even when it takes way more mental gymnastics than just accepting reality.

HELL TO THE FUCKING YES. I was originally planning to give this like a 3 star, ut those last few chapters just did it for me like. I was pretty bored of the fighting scenes cuz they stretched out for like a hundred pages. Like something just kept happening again n again it was kind of an overload. BUT THOSE LAST FEW CHAPTERS. I’m kinda bummed that more people won’t get into this series cuz of the trigger warnings obviously, but it really is so tender. Like it’s so soft and sensual and sweet like i sometimes can’t with them. I lovvvvvvveeeeee this series.
