“I should have known[…]That you would love Caravaggio this much. He was insane. And a killer.”
“That doesn’t make him a bad person,” said Percy.”

Percy Ashdown, art historian/thief/murder for hire, has a new boyfriend, Joe Bruno. Joe was a man of the cloth until recently. Recently when Percy became too much of a temptation for Joe to resist. Now, for some reason, Percy invited Joe to come along with him on vacation. Only, it’s not vacation at all. It’s his job. There will definitely be art involved. There might also be stealing, kidnapping, zombies, and some murder. All things that Joe Bruno isn’t going to like and all things Percy Ashdown happens to be very good at. Will their relationship survive it?

There is nothing quite like this book. A perfect mix of action, paranormal, horror, madness and mayhem, all mixed in with hysterical humor, banter, romance and fantastic sexual tension.

Joe is a complete sweetheart who just might have more a of a dark side than even he knows.

Percy is your international man of mystery mixed with the perfect amount of morally gray that keeps you on the edge of your seat. I mean, who knows what he will do next to get himself and Joe in a mess or out of the last one.

I had the absolute honor to read this book when it was being released one short section at a time and WH Lockwood’s writing is pure magic. Clever and precise, there are few out there writing romantic horror and no one is quite as wild and chaotic as Lockwood. The humor and horror are the perfect mix. The chaos adds just enough to keep you guessing and gasping along with the twists without any skepticism as to whether something was done just for drama’s sake. Why? Because Percy.
Something lovely and romantic? Of course, Percy would.
Something diabolical, violent, and reckless? Of course, Percy would.

I have read a lot of books but Percy and Joe are one of my favorite couples.
I have read a lot of books but WH Lockwood is one of my favorite authors.
There’s nothing like it. I highly, highly recommend.

“It had all the hallmarks of fate or true love or some great romance.”

I didn’t love this as much as I thought I would. I don’t know if it was the writing I wasn’t vibing with or what. But I didn’t care what was happening with the characters or the plot by the half way point and I probably should have just DNF’d.
The few cartoon comics in here were cool though and I did chuckle a few times while reading 😅

HOLY FUCKING SHIT!

This book is for you if you’ve ever…

felt conflicted between the way dark romance justifies abuse and the inherent sexiness of fictional men who are banned from several countries morally flexible.

insist you want life or death stakes, but you cry over minor inconveniences.

cannot cope with homophobia unless you’re making jokes about it.

Sinful Crimes for The Artistically Inclined is a fast-paced, chaotic, and action-packed adventure. It follows Joe, a catholic priest, in his first relationship with Percy, an art thief who occasionally commits heinous acts.

It was hilarious without making the story feel shallow. It blended so many supernatural genres into such a fun mix. These men have the strangest chemistry without ever compromising a wholesome relationship.

This novel was AMAZING! It was certainly the most wholesome and romantic book centering murder. I cannot wait to read more from WH Lockwood and highly recommend you check out some of her books

I have not cackled and twirled my hair this much in a long ass time. If you love adventure mm romances, you need this like will pass out without it. Percy and Joe and their banter are EVERYTHING! TO! ME!
After holding off on not being together for a whole trilogy (which I have not read yet and you don’t need to either to read this but I really wish I did now) and because Joe is a priest (tea I know), Joe is finally jealous enough to finally crack and show up at Percy’s door in the am hours and kiss him. This night turns into them taking a European vacation together where they fall in love, Percy kills a bunch of people for being mean to his boyfriend and Joe gets even more jealous. This book is truly the definition of “whatever pookie wants pookie gets” and I love it so much. If you just want a silly goofy slightly unhinged time, THIS IS IT PEOPLE IM TELLING YOU

Thank you to the author for allowing me to have an arc, you have a loyal new follower of the Percy Joe cult
