This book was heartwarming to read and made me believe in love.
Rhodes and Aurora's story was just beautiful.
Aurora after 14 years of a marriage with someone who doesn't want a future with her.
She feels alone. this makes her want to find herself and return to her hometown. Without realizing this is going to change her life and other people's lives too.
Rhodes was just so grumpy at the beginning but after you see how much he cares for Aurora so much it had me smiling so much.
This love story is not just about love between a couple but about the love Aurora has for Amos(Rhode's son) and between all the secondary characters.
In my opinion, I love the book and the storyline. Even though it was long I think it had everything you want in a slow burn and it made me feel cozy.

I absolutely loved this book. I wasn’t caught as offguard as when I read ‘the Wall of Winnipeg and me’ because that book was such a slow burn and kind of slowly snuck up on me, and literally stole my heart. It was just such a beautiful book. I really did love the characters. I loved watching the characters develop beautiful friendships, relationships, and sort of transform into better versions of themselves. I can’t say I was going to vote this five stars because I didn’t love it as much as the wall of Winnipeg and me but anything less than 4 1/2 stars is a crime. My favorite thing about Mariana Zapata books is that she tends to focus around building relationships, really setting the scenes, and one of the things that I really admire about her is how she incorporates the Mundane ins and outs of every day life. She really outlines just how beautiful the little parts of life can be, so I will definitely be reading more books written by her.

I really wanted to like this book, but there were a few things I found repetitive and annoying. This book was long, but many of the chapters skipped a week or two in time. Scene would end abruptly and a time jump would occur. I felt like it could have been 100-150 pages shorter. I did not like how the FMC would comment on the looks for the MMC’s child or having to reassuring she wasn’t attracted to him. It was a bit weird. . Both the FMC and MMC were old enough to be a bit more mature.
