*sigh*.... i really need to read rom-coms with older protagonists.

The self-development. The growth. The lack of drama. The grown-up behaviour and interactions. The normality of it all. Amazing. Wonderful. *Chefs kiss*. Get you a man like Rhodes!!!

I dove into this book and ATE IT ALL UP. You know a book is great when I have to finish the book before I can start writing my exam that I got 2 days ago.

This book was sweet, funny and a joy to read. Sure, it gets a bit too saucy at the end which I think is the climax we all anticipated considering the build-up of their relationship but other than that, this book hit the spot. I'm so happy I read this book and I look forward to reading other books by Mariana Zapata that can make me feel this way!

The way I was PULLED into this book, I have definitely missed the feeling of wanting to finish a book rather than do something else. Finishing this book was not a choice, it was by FORCE and I love it. This book had me gushing so many times, laughing out loud, giggling, facepalming, covering my mouth, gasping, ranting, all of it. You get the idea.

Okay, i think that was all. Thank you Mariana, ilovethisbooksomuchokaybye.

3.5 Stars

I honestly thought this book would easily be 5 stars, we have grumpy x sunshine and small town-what's not to love? HOWEVER, this was SOOO long for a romance. The audio book was 17 hours long, and so much of that was the MC rambling about hiking. I understood the importance of it, but I felt like I was reading a wilderness digest at some points.
I also felt like the slow burn was so slow they were gonna stay in the friendzone, started forgetting I was reading a romance.
There were some really great moments, and Rhodes has an incredible way with words, there were a lot of really great sentiments about grief that helped my process the death of my father.

Would I read this again? Maybe. I just might skip the endless monologues about hiking.
