Personally, this just wasn’t for me. It was so long and yet at times I felt there wasn’t a whole lot going on. It was okay and I really enjoyed the last 20% but that’s not enough to give it more stars on this occasion.

+ audiobook (libby)

no bc I stayed up til almost 4 am to finish this and don’t have a single regret. ugh. loved this.

tropes:
➳ grumpy sunshine
➳ slow burn
➳ single dad
➳ small town
⤹ as my bio says, i ADORE slow burn: it's my favorite trope. and i think mariana zapata's writing is amazing and can make a really good slow burn romance, but i want my slow burns to be of the two main characters catching each other's eyes across the room, sending each other silly cute text messages, touching hands on accident, etc. while there was yearning, most of the book was spent on aurora's plotline of coming back to her hometown and spending time with amos (rhodes' son). and don't get me wrong, i love amos and their moments together, i just feel like we could've had more aurorarhodes moments <3.
