Nothing new for the fans of Critical Role, but it is nice to see Caleb's backstory in this format regardless of how painful and sad it is. Seeing him with his family broke my heart, especially since I knew what was going to happen. Leave it to Liam O'Brien to make the most tragic backstory possible.
Also, what was the reason for this? Do you think making me cry is cool? You really had to give us this panel of Frumpkin going after Bren when he left for the Academy? Sure, rip my heart out of my chest and throw it in the garbage.

Despite all the suffering, I love that we got to see Nott at the end. I think it's a great way of closing the story so kudos for that. Also, what was the reason for this? Caleb has always been a tragic, complex character, and this quick graphic novel illustrates that. Beautifully designed and drawn, heartbreaking and exciting, it’s perfect for all Critical Role fans!
