I started this book 7pm and finished it 5am soooo… really enjoyed reading this (did not enjoy next morning), even though there were a few predictable things. I quess for me it was more like ”I have to keep reading to see if I’m right” (sometimes I was, simetimes not) but anyways I was hooked. wating to start the next book and I will be sooo dissapointed if poppy is too forgiving. I want him to GROVEL for forgiveness!!

3.75 stars "With my sword and with my life, I vow to keep you safe, Penellaphe... From this moment until the last moment, I am yours."
I picked this up during my ACOTAR break, and it was one of the few books that had ALL my attention. I loved watching Poppy grow into a brave character.
That being said, I do think there was a lot of internal dialogue that could've been cut down. Some parts were repetitive, like the reader wasn't trusted to understand what was going on. There were also some typos (like names) that I couldn't help but focus on.
Despite that, I liked the story.

It was a hard start as I found the beginning quite boring. However the ending part I found really good and enjoyed. I don’t think it would need to be that long. I found poppy annoying at times but I liked that she could be baddass. I was initially not going to continue the series but the ending may of changed my mind.
