Again, there was that reiteration of the fact this series is a bully romance but less in your face, or buried among Kimberly’s mental illnesses and Xavier’s addiction.

This book is about Kimberly, Elsa's friend, and Xander, a friend of Aiden. I must say this book has a lot more depth than the previous ones because Kimberly actually has a personality (compared to Elsa) and we get to see all of that.
I will say, check the trigger warnings because this book is a lot (the author also metnions it in the beginning, so be sure you can read this).
I liked the romance between Xander and Kimberly (the banter they had was just good, a little problematic sometimes but not too much). Everything was going well until suddenly a "plot twits" arrived.
The end was really dissapointing for me (especially the epilogues, they just don't add any satisfaction to the story or the couple).
This book is definitely better than the first trilogy but it still had me dissapointed overall.
