This is an amazing feat of craftsmanship! Sabuda has used several different manipulations of paper to tell the story in the most magical way.
There’s not a lot of tension in this book. Which is not good for me. Stuff just kind of happens.

Delightfully charming, and everything I was hoping it would be. I can almost taste the 19th century Psylocybin.
Literally nonsense, which is the point. Which makes the point nonsense, and sense pointless, and the book in fact rather good.

4/10! Can I really give this anything more ? It’s just a small little read of a classic that I’ve heard the story a million times . I’d much rather just watch the animated Disney film. It’s not bad but it’s nothing special 🤷🏼♂️
I enjoyed this book and the characters especially. I loved the sad Mock Turtle, the Griffin, and the Cheshire Cat. And the book was quite humorous. This book reminded me a lot of Jasper Fforde's Thursday Next books.
I thought the book was too short though. I know it's a children's book so I guess that's probably why but I wanted more. I guess I'll have to pick up the sequel.
The audio version was read with the narrator doing different voices for the different characters and I didn't love that. It made some of the characters difficult to understand and there were numerous times where I had to re listen to a part to understand what was being said.
