Hadley and Bennett deserved better. Too much international intrigue. Especially since none of these “spies” know how to stay out of the public eye. Constantly causing public scenes, or being photographed by the paparazzi.

The romance was just kind of meh. They both had issues that just magically disappeared. Could have done so much more with these two really great characters.

I really enjoyed Hadley and Bennett's story. Can't wait until the next book in the series.

What did I think of the plot?

The plot starts off with a captivating scene in the Shard where the characters are introduced, and a bomb is about to blow... or is it...

A looming threat is attacking Bennett Knightley's business, and Hadley “Striker” Lockwood will find out before the tech falls into the wrong hands... like, say, a terrorist. And the plot mixed a workplace romance with a mystery.

She goes undercover at his business to discover why his employees are getting hurt.

They uncover a plot that targets Ben directly, and they must work together to find the person coming for him.

Red Herrings abound, and the end is satisfying and unexpected.

I like the series and the characters, therefore I will rate this quite high. I liked the story, even if some parts were kind of predictable. I enjoyed the book anyway and I’m curious about Steel‘s redhead. I hope that story comes next.

I cannot get enough of this series. This installment started a bit slower than the first two books but once everything got going it was nonstop. It also had a different feel because it took place largely away from the Sentinel Security office and therefore didn’t involve the other members as much, and I think that was what I missed the most.

British billionaire and former SAS officer Bennett Knightly has spent his time since retiring from the British Army building a company focused on getting much needed protective gear into the hands of the people who need it. After seeing first hand how better equipment could have saved the lives of the people he worked with, he was determined to make a difference. When his shipments are stolen, Hadley, former M16 officer and current Sentinel Security officer, is tasked with working undercover at his company to find the moles and keep Bennett’s company from being destroyed.

Hadley has trouble trusting people, especially men, and more importantly, especially men she drawn to. But the longer she works with Bennett Knightly, the clearer it becomes that he may be the one man, outside her team, she can trust. Bennett is determined to tear down Harley’s walls, but he understands her trust issues and that makes his mission to earn her trust even more meaningful to him. While chasing leads and saving his company Bennett and Hadley fall head over heals. They have plenty of obstacles ahead, but find they don’t matter as much when the only other option is walking away.

This was a great addition to the Sentinel Security series. While it had less of the other two couples, it had more Steel and Hex and dropped some major hints about their upcoming books.

A nice, light romance with a badass heroine and a hero who is hot but doesn’t need the heroine to be a simpering fool. Nice and fluffy read.
