My general thought process during this volume was something like "meh, whatever".

Meh. There's really not much here that was interesting. Maybe I'm just tired of superheroes? Regardless, this volume fell pretty flat for me.

Disjointed and confusing. Also, I hate the New 52 character design for Black Canary.

This was a long and painful read. I'd like to get those few minutes of the last few nights back so I could spend them on a better comic. I went through this hoping to find a redeeming quality to the first one and ended up more disappointed. I don't know if the writer thought the readers were stupid enough to need Black Canary to explain EVERYTHING or if he simply couldn't follow his own story without adding unnecessary details in every scene. It feels as if a novel author had been assigned to a comic and didn't realize there would be pictures to accompany the story.

This was okay. Alot of the New 52 books are okay.
It starts pretty much midway through a fight where some men are after Dinah. The group tries to stop them, a Talon joins the fight and all hell breaks loose. They have to freeze it to stop it and Ivy seemingly takes herself down with it to "save" the others.
I don't like the idea that she was out for herself the whole time. She's dying and wants the others to help with her environmental terrorism bucket list, essentially and that just sucks. It gives such a dirty twist to what was a pure team and I hated it.
Art is still amazing. There was less Katana and Starling than I wanted but it was cool seeing how Dinah, Starling and Babs met.
3.5 stars.

More of the same, but with not-as-good artwork... Except for #0&13.

Made no sense, the ending wasn't there. Waste of time

I could have lived without the Court of Owls tie in messing with the books flow but overall this is a fun, female-centrist title that doesn't rely too heavily on the characters sexuality.

Jesus Saiz should always be the penciller, and when he's not it's just not as nice to look at, is my opinion.
