For clarification on CWs: - Graphic sexual assault: a scene in which a young woman is assaulted at a party. It isn't written gratuitously or super detailed, however the brief line description of what the young woman's friend is witnessing (it's from her perspective) may be a shock to some readers. - Moderate sexual content: I chose this because there are consenting sex scenes between some characters. Again, the sex scenes are not super explicit, but they are descriptive albeit brief. - Moderate sexual violence: the assault scene aside, there are some moments of characters verbally describing incidents of sexual violence that either happened to them or someone they know. There is also a scene of a class recapping the daily reading, and the discussion involves the assault of a character they are studying.sarahna's review against another edition

Just wow. This was such an incredible page turner that made me root for Scarlett despite her being a cold blooded killer. I don't think I can fully review this book without giving away a major spoiler so here's the warning!
When it was revealed that Carly was Scarlett's former self, I was actually surprised! Twists like these are usually predictable to me but the character development was severe yet believable enough for it to work. I got chills reading the last few chapters where Wes' true intention were revealed, pointing out that he put on a nice guy act in order to be entitled to have his way with Carly. Or Allison for the matter. Every single guy that gets killed has this disgusting sense of superiority and entitlement to women's bodies, which didn't make me sympathize with them.
The ending was just the cherry on top! The fact that the romance between Scarlett and Mina worked amidst the tumultuous and fast-paced dual povs is astonishing. This has to be one of the best thrillers I've read. Highly recommend!
