Remember being captivated by this when I was a kid. Enjoyed it as well as an adult, but maybe I've lost some of my magic of imagination and it may have kept me from receiving this novel in the same way.

I love the coraline movie, and I’m so glad the book holds up! They’re very similar, but different enough to be interesting. It took me a while to get used to the writing style, and it still isn’t my favorite, but it works well for this book. Highly recommend!
Read this for the first time last month as part of the workplace reading challenge. I was led to believe by the internet that this book was terrifying for children and adults alike..... this book was ok. I didn't find it all that unsettling nor do I think I would have been super affected as a child. Love the movie tho, iconic and classic
