This was a great! Listened to it on audio book and the narrator had a really great way of bringing the story to life. I particularly enjoyed the way Catching’s story was written! Highly recommend.

This book was phenomenal. It was so dark and full of beautiful symbolism, something that I’m not typically a fan of. It was very well written and to the point— something I greatly appreciate in novels. I loved learning more about the aboriginal stories and a small insight to their culture. A wonderful, dark yet colorful, own voices novel.

I love Catching’s narration that reads like a poem.

At first I thought it would be a bit too short to actually get a grip on me, but I was wrong, the last 50 pages were sad and horrible and beautiful, all at once.

An oblique and confusing YA murder mystery (maybe?) fantasy (maybe that's what this is?) set in a remote Australian town which looks at issues of identity, heritage and injustice through an Aboriginal lens. See my full review here.
