Did you ever get that feeling that you might be losing your mind? I mean - we've all been there - right? But then you're like ehhhh... noooo - I'm just fine. Cool, calm and collected - every duck in a row - it's everyone ELSE who has lost their marbles! I'm just fine. The rest of the world is bonkers.

I kinda of felt a little bit like that reading this book. My mind went up and down and all around and I haven't felt that bat sh*t crazy in a long time! I felt crazy just trying to figure out if the main character was mad as a hatter.

Sarah's trying to get out of her head. Her kids are teenagers (enough said), her husband is cheating on her with a coworker, her therapist shows her no compassion or sympathy, and she's just downright bored with her daily routine. She needs something more. And one day in the park, when a strange yet handsome man approaches her ... she thinks she has found that something.

And then it gets bananas...

A woman from the exact same park goes missing and Sarah finds herself as the prime suspect in her disappearance. As everything slowly begins to unravel, both her husband and her therapist turn against her believing she is so sick - she may just be capable of the crime. And her one alibi, the man from the park - gone. But did he even exist in the first place, or did Sarah's mind make him up?

This one is a SUPER twisty thriller, chock full of secrets and lies and has you pointing fingers at everyone. It's a super fast read that I tore through, hoping the whole time that Sarah proves herself innocent... but is she really as innocent as her mind has led her to believe?

If you love fast-paced twisty-turny thrillers - this is definitely your book!

I loved that this little book packed a big punch!

My favorite thing about psychological thrillers is the way that they play mind tricks on you. Things may seem one way, yet as the story unfolds, you’re left trying to solve what is exactly going on. I loved trying to figure out what happened to the woman in the park, and I just needed to know!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 stars!

I cannot believe this is s debut! I started this book in the afternoon and had it finished by the evening after dinner! I seriously was sucked in and I had to know what the heck was going on! Sarah is wealthy and lives in Manhattan with her husband and two children. Her children are sent to boarding school during the week and come home on the weekends. Her husband is never home he’s works ridiculous hours so she’s left trying to fill her days. Sarah attends therapy attends yoga and reads at the park. Sarah is certain her husband is cheating on her with a younger woman that works with him, she obsessed about it to the point of searching his clothing and following the woman she assumes he’s cheating with. When a handsome man approaches her at the park while she’s reading she’s instantly attracted to him. They meet at the park talk and soon start a secret relationship. When the police knock at her door one morning asking lots of questions about a woman’s disappearance and she’s the lead suspect she’s confused what does she have to do with a strangers disappearance? When her handsome mysterious new friend disappears as well she’s starts to question her own sanity, soon she’s on the run trying to figure what is real and what is in her head! I give this four stars I was hooked and shocked I didn’t not see or even figure out the crazy twisted ending!!

The protagonist is a wife and mother of two teens and is seeking therapy for having a delusional disorder. She sits in a park and a man comes to her taking about her current book. They fall in love quickly. However, it turns out he is married.
The therapist tells her that he is a manifestation of her delusions but is he really?
See, what happens on this wild ride that ends with a brilliant twist!
TW: Mental Health/delusional disorders

Well I just read this book in about 4 hours. I flew through the first half, and I was like “pshhh I know how this one ends!” But once I peeked into part 2 I realized I just had to keep going because I instantly knew my prediction was off. Lots of twists and turns that keep you guessing until the very end. Nothing like an unreliable narrator to keep you on your toes. A really great thriller!

This is how a book should be written! For such a short book, it delivered everything it should and more. I was never bored and completely invested in Sarah Rock's life. She is married with two children, but her children are away at boarding school and her husband, Eric, is always away on business. Sarah is also in weekly therapy sessions with Dr. Robin, where she has related her fears of her husband cheating on her.
Sarah is lonely and one day she meets a man, Lawrence, while reading in the park. She is instantly attracted to him and starts a relationship with him. After this is where things take a turn for the crazy. The police show up at her door asking if she knows anything about a woman's disappearance. This leads Sarah to question everything she knows to have happened or not happened.
I guessed part of the twist in this one early one, as some other characters' actions make it somewhat obvious. I did not know how it would end at all and was turning pages to find out how would end up. Great debut book by these two authors!
