I was racking my brain on why the author's name felt familiar and then I realized - this guy was the one who continued Stieg Larsson's Millenium series! (which I have yet to continue). It makes sense. The flow of this story is reminiscent of that series and I'm now a little more confident that the Millenium series will get its due with this author. If Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is not to your vibes, you might not enjoy this one.

Of the Alibis collection, this one I wished was longer. I'm left with questions that I want answered but at the same time, I'm not really left unsatisfied with how it was ended.

Super short at just 41 pages or just over an hour of audio, this was a punchy, fast paced read about a father and son’s toxic relationship and the betrayal and tension between them. Definitely my least favourite of the collection so far, with super unlikeable characters, but very thought provoking nonetheless!

This was my first read by David Lagercrantz, and despite being a short story, it completely pulled me in. It’s a slow start, which isn’t saying much given that it a novella, but the buildup was gripping. I would say it’s a fun little story. That said, the ending really didn’t work for me. It felt abrupt and unsatisfying, which left me conflicted. Still, I’d definitely be interested in reading more of his worK.
