False Note

David Lagercrantz

2.64 AVERAGE

slow-paced

If you like toxic relationships and comeuppance for narcissitic behavior, this story is for you. I wished for a more clear resolution, which came a little abruptly and without the punch I hoped for. Trigger warning: domestic violence.

I just didn't vibe with this one at all. I was super disconnected and disengaged throughout the whole book due to the writing style and lack of real character development. I understand that the characters in this book were bad people, but I didn't even like a single one. I didn't feel sorry for them or feel anything for them at all which could have been helped by a more engaging writing style. It was also super predictable and no part of it really screamed thriller/mystery to me. It was just a lacklustre kind of read where it did nothing for me at all.

So no one knows who actually committed the murder?
It was an interesting translation not good but not bad

I was really hoping the rating was false on this book. But I was sadly mistaken.

This book was all over the place. There were points in the story where there was a lot of detail then there are parts where you don't really get any detail. What's the timeline, how old was his dad like give me something.

the ending was horrible it just felt like a rushed story and all the pieces were not fitting correctly to make it one good solid story.

Again, it seemed like everyone got what they put in.
