Hmmm... Have you ever been on a vacation at a beach house or a cabin and you have finished your book and need something else to read? That is what this book is - a book that someone left behind because it was OK, but not worthy of the car ride home. Overall the book was mean-spirited and humorless, but I still wanted to see how it ended, thus the 2 stars.
This was an entertaining story with plucky characters that developed well throughout the book. For several of the characters I went through phases of loving them, then hating them, then loving them again.
Lighthearted. Adorable. Easy to read and finish in a day.

Well written trash
Yeah, it's chick lit designed to be an escapist fantasy for dumpy, dowdy, depressed housewives like me. And it is, but its well written, clever, and insightful without trying to be more than it is. A pleasant way to spend a few hours with a book that feels like a smart friend.

This was a super cute, quick read about two best friends who decide to start their own business by creating and selling a (fake) anti aging cream to all of the super rich women in their inner circle, in attempts to finance their own personal agendas. One friend needs the cash to pay for her son's therapies, and the other to continue paying for her IVF treatments. So why not scam the type of people who have money to burn on something as silly as a facial cream "worth" a couple grand?!
There could have been a little more character development, but I did like getting to know some of the other women being shilled the creams. And of course, a little peek into the inner lives of how the ridiculously wealthy live, is always a bit fascinating.

This book was good. It had rich people, drama, scandal and so much more. It was sweet and wholesome but kept me coming back for more. I never saw any of the scandals coming.
I got this as one of my Amazon First Reads and I absolutely loved it! It was funny and silly and entertaining all rolled into one! The characters are likeable and realistic; the plot is unique. Maybe because it's summer here, ... but I definitely recommend this as a great beach-y read!
