This was a free download for me and it was pretty interesting. I think it was hard to pick a side for justice. In the end I figured how it all would play out but I think it was fun to see how the rich lived and how they could be tricked.
This book was SUPER light and fluffy, which was exactly what I was hoping for.
The premise was pretty fun and unique, though the tie-in to a book club was less heavy than the title would have indicated. My only real complaint is that the ending tied things up too cleanly for my liking, but it fit with the feel of the rest of the book.

A light-hearted, slightly dark comedy about the lengths friends will go to in order to support their families...at the expense of the ultra-rich, vapid socialites of SoCal.
Annie and Sarah have been friends for years, but each become strapped for cash for different reasons. Annie's son Oscar needs expensive therapies for an autism diagnosis, and law-career focused Sarah needs more IVF treatments to start her family. They collaborate to develop and sell exorbitant face cream to La Jolla's richest women--with a secret ingredient guaranteed to keep them coming back for more. When they get in over their heads, they have to scramble to hold on to their business and their freedom.
I really liked the premise and the dark humor of this one. There were almost too many characters to keep up with, and somewhat of a clichèd ending, but it was good to read something light and fun.
