Wow!

The last half of the book really changed my mind for this series! I was on the edge of my seat! Lots of action, and the plot was pretty exceptional. Excellent character development! I think if I had to choose a faction, I'd end up being Divergent myself. Why can't you be brave, intelligent, kind, honest, and unselfish all at once?

I can't wait to see the film adaptation! Kate Winslet is going to make one excellent Jeanine!!!

I hope the second book is okay...I've been told 2 & 3 aren't as great....

I'd like to give this 3.5 stars because it's a page-turner, but in light of "The Hunger Games," not especially original. But worth the read.

I wanted to like this book more than I did. I like Tris’s courage and bravery. I wish her mom had a more developed role in the story.

Loved this book so much. Had a hard time not finishing it straight away and had to force myself to take several breaks (and I'm a slow reader).

The first two books of this series are SO GOOD. This book is a great introductory into the world and almost feels like two different books once you reach the climax.

Ok ok ok I realize this is just another dystopian fiction book riding on the coat tails of The Hunger Games. It's cheesy, it's unrealistic, and at times you smack your head saying,"but that's so predictable!" but I honestly don't care it's sucked me in and now I'm addicted. It's like biting into a cupcake... You know it's not the best thing you could be eating but it's just so good!

Such a quick read for me! Really captivating. I hadn’t seen the movie before but the writing and imagery were well done

Having jumped on the bandwagon of this series somewhat hesitantly,
I must confess that I quite enjoyed the first of the trilogy.

An interesting premise, with a plucky protagonist provided easy reading.

Whilst I feel the concepts could have been fleshed out a little more, I did find myself ending the book wondering about the second installment as well as vaguely deciding that I would in fact hoose Dauntless.

Perhaps there is something to this craze after all...?
