I wasn't feeling this. At all.
It felt rushed and over the top. Super cheesy. Quite annoying sometimes.
I like Devon, he seems nice, his story was interesting. His fears pretty valid.
But Giselle... Oh, boy. What a dubious character. I don't like anything about her. She's just all over the place. It's like the author couldn't decide while building her personality and life so she threw everything in there.
Nah, this felt way off.

Yeah!! We get Devon and Giselle's story!! Opposites certainly attract when you but a buttoned-up, tight knitted woman and a grumpy professional football player. But it is amazing story of a true and honest connection when the layers are removed and the slow burn begins. From the opening pages to the very last page this book had me hooked and I did not want the story to end. Loved it!!

I loved this book. I listened to it as an audiobook. Loved the spice scenes. The story was a little frustrating but I’m a good way

Me gusto mucho más esta pareja que el libro anterior. Me encanto Gisell, para mi se redimio de lo que paso en el libro anterior y la entendi. Fue un libro adorable!

The book was cute but the first half was very slow and I had to force myself to finish it.

This was a friends to lovers, grumpy/sunshine story between Giselle, Elena's sister, and Devon, Jack's best friend.

I was a little bit on the fence with Giselle (considering the first book) and the fact that her life just seemed to...happen to her but fortunately, she actually grew a backbone and I've enjoyed her story.

Devon was a tortured hero, soft only for the heroine and their relationship progressed nicely.

Overall, the book was good but the pacing needed some more work.

2 completely different people are fated to be together

I’m so in love with Giselle and Devon. They both have such beautiful souls and hearts. I love how Mama Riley is always playing matchmaker and her Sunday lunch prayers are the best. And, again, Topher gossips too much at the salon. I love seeing Gisella and Elena together and how they all act with Aunt Clara. I also love the friendship Gisella has with her landlord, Myrtle and how they take care of each other. I need more from the Daisy Lady Gang. This book will definitely take you for a ride. I need more from the town of Daisy and the Nashville Tigers. I think Aiden needs his own book soon and maybe Selena too. Also, I love that Giselle is writing a book in her spare time.

I knew from the first book Devon would be my absolute favorite in this series and I was too right!! He is an amazing football player that is overly cocky but oh so sexy and few can resist him. Giselle is so smart with fun quirks that make her down to earth yet adorable in other ways. She made me laugh and even though she is a genius she wasn’t weird about it and still knew how to through barbs and jokes back at Devon. Devon knows he has been told not to go there with her by his friend Jack, but something about her calls to him and makes him want more so he spends most of his days avoiding her and fighting this attraction. Even though Devon is fighting his attraction Giselle knows he is out of her league, yet she can’t help but be drawn to him knowing it could never work because he looks at her sometimes with annoyance. Devon fights his own demons afraid that everyone he cares for always leaves him and Giselle has her own insecurities because they are total opposites, yet they both know they are slipping down a slippery slope straight towards each other and can’t fight it much longer. I loved their banter, their friendship, Devon’s alpha side, and Giselle’s heart of gold. This book was an absolute favorite to read and I can’t wait for more!!!!

Isla Madden-Mills did something I never thought possible--she made me love a heroine I previously didn't like. Giselle and Jack are now my favorites from this series and no one can convince to revert back to my previous line of thinking. They are just THAT good together. Not My Match, is a emotionally charged and sexually sizzling novel that hits you with moments of raw authenticity and comedic gold.

Like I said before--I went into this book not like Giselle. From Not My Romeo (NMR), she was the sister that had me rolling my eyes and scowling at. But cracking open this story and learning more about Giselle and her side of the story from the events that happened in NMR, my cold heart thawed, and as I dove deeper I began to root for her in more ways than I can count. Giselle is this super genius who happens to know everything outside of the bedroom. After having a shit storm of a relationship come crashing down, Giselle is out to prove to herself that she has what it takes to be in a relationship and the sexual prowess that comes with it too.

Enter Devon.

I absolutely LOVED Devon in NMR. And I think I actually squealed in a work meeting when I found out that Devon was getting his own story. A famous professional football player, Devon is known for his player ways both on and off the field. Attracted to Giselle beyond belief, he decides that he isn't the right match for Giselle and begins the adventure of being her matchmaker. Y'all this man has LAYERS. Every time I got to a new chapter, it was like I was introducing myself to a different and updated Devon. I got so invested in his life and who he was that everything else ceased to exist when I was in his point of view.

From the very beginning these characters clicked, and watching them fight their feelings and then come together was the most satisfying thing I've witnessed all year. The push and pull and the leaning on each other during difficult moments was like chef kisses. If you can't tell I am smitten and loved every single moment of this story.

The Chemistry, the emotions, and the well developed characters--Ilsa Madden-Mills threw it out of the park with this story. I was completely entranced from start to finish, and if the others didn't solidify my belief that Isla is a bonified QUEEN--then I don't know what else will. I highly, highly, recommend you grabbing this series up and devouring it. Trust me you won't regret it!

Terrible male narration, but great as just a read.
