Look - I was engaged. The world building was good. The slow burn burned slow. But there was absolutely no reason to use suns, moons, and stars and "blasted" as fake curses so many times. Say it like you mean it bestie.

2.5 ⭐️ I was disappointed because the description of this book says, “perfect for fans of Dune and Pride and Prejudice”. It is not remotely like either of this books. Once I found out the author is a middle school teacher, it made much more sense. The dialogue is very “middle school”.
