4.25 stars. I liked it. There was one time when I wanted to DNF it. BUT!!! Thankfully I didn't because it got really gooooood.
I rlly liked this one. Just when I thought it was gonna start dragging on it didn’t and something happened that made the plot more interesting.

Wow, I am sort of stunned by how much I loved this book and this couple. I love mafia and I love dark, the darker the better most of the time. I would tag this book as a light mafia, slow-burn, with a bit of darkness in a few scenes. And if I were to guess by that description, it wouldn't be one of my favorites. However, it was actually very well written, never lagged in keeping my attention, the pace never slowed, and it had the best buildup of sexual tension I have read in a very,very long time. Amazing. Perfect. And it is going on my favorites list.
Nicolas is your most loved possessive, impulsive mafia don who always gets what he wants. Elena is your adorable, pretty-in-pink mafia princess who obeys her father and loves her family. The attraction, desire, lust and finally passion between these two characters was off the charts hot. I could feel Nico's touch everytime he touched Elena. Shivers. The chemistry between these two shot off the page and I continued to read long after I should have gone to sleep, but just had to have more.
I am going to give this one 4.75 stars. However, if I come back and read it again, and I just might, I am sure the second time will be whole 5 stars. Definitely recommend this for any light or medium contemporary mafia readers, and to any dark readers who want a change of pace but still want that extraordinary story and emotional pull.

From the tiktok reviews I thought this book would be darker, but I still liked it a lot. I didn't like it as much as others that I've already read and that's why I only gave it 3 stars.
