A classic mafia, arranged marriage trope. i've also had this book for A WHILE but i haven't gotten around to read it until yesterday. overall it was very easy to read

This series has been on my radar for a while, and I really loved it. Elena was a complex character, while she may have been submissive in a sense she was strong too. Nico is the definition of morally grey, and I really liked this character. I think I would have loved it more if there was a bit more mafia plot. It mostly revolved around the characters and their relationship in the mafia world. It was a great story, I just would have liked a grittier plot to go along with the romance element. Elena’s subplot of the guy she was with before added something that I really enjoyed. It spoke to her as a character, she may live in a dark world, but she still showed humanity and even brought it out in Nico.

Great story the plot was evenly paced & flowed well, the characters were good I love Niko & Elena. There was plenty of tension so much so I was on edge the whole time. I love that she was seen as always docile but with him found her voice & his edges softened just for her when needed it made for the perfect couple.
