This book was recommended by Beach Reads and Bubbly on Instagram, as a good “first” mafia romance. I was interested in something a little darker, so gave it a shot. It was a quick read, and the tension between the MCs in the first half of the book was delicious. It took them a long time to open up to each other, but the passion and the mutual pining made this a delightful read.

For some reason Elena reminds me of Feyre…. And now I might hate both of them. But listen just because it’s not good doesn’t mean I didn’t devour it.
My first ever mafia romance!! I really liked this — it was fun, flirty, and the main characters were likeable! This book even had a few plot twists I wasn’t expecting (a few gasps out loud)! Not overly spicy, but the tension and slow burn was amazing!! Would definitely recommend!
