I don't know why but I expected more from this one. At the first book I really liked Lia but not in this one. She became less bold and more depended on Rafe and Kaden.
even I didn't liked the chemistry also. I thought there will be more twists. her love for Rafe looked pointless to me.
whatever still it wasn't a total disappointment. the wrwriting style is pretty good also.

I rounded up in my rating as I would have given it a 2.5. The 2nd book wasn't as strong as the first book. I still enjoyed the characters and the continuation of the story but it didn't have me as interested as the first book. There were pages and pages of dialog and scenes with a ton of information, which seemed like days had past in the story. In reality it was only one night in the storyline. The amount of time that passed in the book didn't really correlate with what I was reading.
I am still looking forward to the conclusion of the series in the 3rd book.

Wow! This story was action packed. So much happened and so many secrets were unveiled. We learn more about the different characters and the world of Venda. There was loss and pain that came with it.
Lia is a strong and defiant as ever though has little regard for the consequences her actions will have on others. She is also manipulative at times which can hurt those around her.
We learn more about Kaden and his past and present as well as who he is as a person.
Rafe is devoted always to Lia and is strong.
The Komizar is strange because mostly he is horrific but at times he shows uncharacteristic traits.
The plot was captivating and the writing had a good flow to it.

This book was so much better than the first! I thought that I knew the direction that the book was going to take and then I was completely surprised in a wonderful kind of way.
