And now I have to wait til August?!!!! Nooooooooo! Another page turner. I think I liked this one better than the first. There's a lot more going on with the story, but I'm going to talk about the love triangle anyway. I'm a sucker for a good love triangle I've got to admit. And this is the most torn I've ever been!! I always have a clear favorite and even though I can tell where this one is going, I love both guys equally!! It's killing me. These books have given me way more feels than I expected.

I think my problem with this book was the very slow beginning. Until page 230ish nothing really happens, and only the last 150 pages were truly incredible. I felt like the characters didn’t really know what they felt and sometimes the writing was slightly confusing for the sake of mystery which was a little difficult to read
Also she somehow managed to write the most insufferable male characters. Both the love intereses and the komizar just pissed me off, while the women like Lia, pauline, aster etc are really fleshed out and have developed personalities. Kaden and Rafe are both very tropey “she’s mine” type of characters, and are both deeply flawed. Needless to say I’m team lia. Or team Lia-Pauline cause bromance above romance.

Buuuuuut
I like the ending. I was expecting something cliche like the rest of this genre but this is much much better.
All in all, I do enjoy this series.

I'm not sure what I really feel about this book. It felt so much flatter than the first book and I don't know why. Granted I think the only thing that kept me hooked in the first book was the "who is who" mystery. This book lacked that unique aspect so it just felt like every other ya light fantasy minus the interesting characters. I can see why a lot of people loved this even more than book one but for me it fell a bit flat.
