The book is a bit rambling at times, especially with all the added footnotes the author put in while reading it, but it is interesting and engaging. While coming out features in the book, it is much more about the struggle of making a career as a performer, both a comic and an actor.

I grew up loving Eddie Izzards stand up so was very happy to have the chance to read his memoirs. As far as autobiographies go it was decent. Generally full of humour, inspirational throughout, never dry, and well structured. It does ramble quite a lot though, making it not always the easiest thing to read. I'm happy to have read it but get the feeling it would be better as an audiobook.

Audiobook all the way on this one. There’s so much more in the audiobook as he goes off on tangential footnotes.

An amazing memoir enhanced in audio-form by lengthy lengthy foot notes!

Loved it! My favorite book of the year. I've enjoyed Eddie Izzard's comedy, but this was sad, funny, and a great look at a creative career.

I listened to this on audio book and sometimes it was a treat and sometimes it was a tad annoying. So, if you are not accustomed to Eddie Izzard I recommend listen to a bit of his stand-up before listening to this on audio book. This audio book is narrated by Eddie Izzard. Those who are familiar with Eddie Izzard I thought the opening of the audio book before it even started was very long and annoying because it was just him rambling...which is not a great place to start. Later when you get into his stories, he'll do extra foot notes and some tangents. It works pretty well and it feels genuine. This book is pretty good and I had fun with it. ~Ashley
