I did not like the FMCs inner monologue, I found myself rolling my eyes so many times.

My only negative thoughts were that I should have read the trigger warnings. The graphic details of the birth of Shelby’s baby and the other child abuse was so dark and hard to read as a parent.
Overall, this had me on the edge of my seat the whole book. It wasn’t predictable and I enjoyed how the characters all came together.I enjoyed that they never explicitly said Shelby was having an affair with Marty, but that things like his removal of his wedding ring allowed you to draw that conclusion. I remember feeling sketched out by Bea’s studio at the beginning of the story, but I quickly forgot.
If you’re comfortable with the triggers, then I highly recommend!
