This book was frustrating because I hated almost everything that happened but it was also both very realistic and a good novel.

There are important themes in this book and the structure is interesting; however, it was tough to get past how terrible practicing law the protagonists were. The topics covered are important, and it was nice to read a book willing to look at them, but there were many holes in the logic and the plot.

The storyline was great, but there was too much unnecessary filler for this feminist. Meanwhile, those looking to broaden their world and seek insight into the struggle of the working woman…this is your book.

Serious subject matter but conveyed in a chick-lit way. And the character Sloane is beyond stupid, driving me to distraction because her behavior does not meet the expectations of someone with a law degree.
Sadly, most of us have been placed in a situation, usually at work, where a man used his position, gender, or bad behavior in a discriminatory and/or demeaning way. This book does a poor job of relating the truths of what that’s like.
