An unexpected little gem, offering a window into a community and process that I have little knowledge or experience with. The novel "memoir" of a character makes for a compelling, if occasionally unreliable, narration. Of course everyone seems disagreeable when your narrator disagrees with them. Oh and the feelings at that ending! Like a bite into a sour cherry.
