I think the movie was better but still good stuff!

Very enjoyable action-packed graphic novel. Props to Geoff Johns and most importantly Ivan Reis for the spectacular artwork that got the book an extra star. The dynamic between Aquaman and Batman was a definite highlight from the book.
The only problem I have with Throne of Atlantis is the lack of character study, but as a wise man once said, You can't always get what you want. Can't wait for the next trade.

I'm still not a fan of Geoff Johns' writing in general, and I was completely unimpressed with his work so far with Aquaman in particular, but once the Justice League got involved with the Atlantis attack plot, I started feeling very interested in what was happening. I even laughed a few times.

Good stuff. Supremely thankful that some of the alternate cover art was only in the gallery in teh back, particularly horribly retro-cartoonish works by Foss and Tucci.

Reading this makes me regret not reading the Justice League in order before reading the Trinity War.

Liked the story (and the art) except that it had a lot of tropes. Conflict prevented with one conversation. A lot of crossover with Aquaman Vol. 3 knocks it down some, which I read first.

This was definitely a great comic, and way better than Vol 2. This addition to the series had me fully engulfed in the story and honestly played in my head like a DC blockbuster movie. I finished this within two hours because it was that damn good. I liked how Aquaman had a bigger role in this volume and we got to see his arc occur, as well as other notable characters like Hawkman, Firestorm, and others be introduced. Once again, I really recommend this to anyone who likes a great adventure story and superheroes.

Nothing out of the ordinary here: characters seem to stay true to their normal MO, big superheroes save the world (or at least the country) plot, Batman is ready for everything etc...

I liked the part where Superman talks about his "disguise" with Wonder Woman. Also liked "the Trench" and was really surprised at what a badass Cheetah was.

Re-read in 2023 to catch up with the New 52. Same feelings I had about it in 2020. Not really a huge Aquaman fan and he was the primary focus of this, so not super exciting for me.

For the 2 issues not included elsewhere it was okay. I was a little lost with the Cheetah story. Wasnt sure if it continued from Wonder Woman or picked up from the previous Justice League issues. DC really does need to stop putting multiple collections with the same story.
