This book was a reread for me from several years ago. It again was an enjoyable remaining of "Alice in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass." A good read for tweens or those who just turned 13. The descriptions and minds-eye imagery may be too much for younger readers.

The pacing was a little dragging, I reached the third part and sighed because there was so much left. There's a lot of gore and war crimes and torture, so if you're sensitive to those subjects being mentioned and lightly described I would skip. The characters were interesting.
