This was my first female Dom book I've read/listened to and it Will definitely not be the last. I loved the chemistry between the couple and their dynamic was captivating to listen to. It had some of miss communication throne in it but was definitely handled in an acceptable and good way with out being to draged out or ruining the story. I highly recommend the audiobook for this as it was a great reading experience. Need to listen to the next in the series before the year ends

I may have made 2 mistakes when reading this book, so please keep that in mind with my review.

Mistake #1: I read the reviews and started to judge the book based off of the reviews and just became disinterested in a BDSM book if it was very light on the BDSM.
Mistake #2: I picked up another book and put this one down for a day so I could devour a different book.

Because of these mistakes, when I tried to get through the next chapter, I just didn't care to finish the book. I don't connect to either of the characters, I am not invested in the plot, or their love story, and the smut was minimal.

I set myself a goal of writing a review for every book I read. I nearly broke it with this one but instead I'll just give it the exact amount of effort it likely took to hammer this out.

The hot, mysterious older woman vs. younger, shyer lesbian trope is perfectly played out, with the power play fantasy becoming quite literal in this case. We're not here for the dialogue, and it's just as well; I just couldn't suspend disbelief for long enough to take some of the conversations seriously, with a couple of chapters borderline comical. It's what it promises to be: simple, at times spicy smut. Probably won't be reading the others.

I liked it

This was the first book I read by this author and it was good. The characters are complex and the sex is hot.

How did I read a whole BDSM romance without the words pussy or clit. This author managed to make this romance SFW

I liked this for the spiciness, is shallow in plot and character development.

Steamy and fifty shades-esque

This is the first I've read from Anna Stone and I may read more but I'd choose something out of the bdsm realm. Not that I don't like reading bdsm, I do, but parts of those scenes just seemed a bit generic. The characters in this were a little flat and could have been fleshed out more in a longer novel perhaps. Mel was a sweetheart and this was still pretty hot. 2.5 rounded to 3 stars.
