The one where they have to find some scifi part for Ax.
Marco is nearly boiled alive as a lobster.
They become ants and rival ants tear off their legs and nearly bite Marco in half.
Also, Marc's mother is alive.

Very enjoyable book. I really like the character arcs being set up in these books. I have it on good authority that those pan out, so that's nice for... I was going to say kids fiction but fiction in general, I guess.

This book terrified me. The character's impulsive recklessness and the insane plot twists had me stressed throughout the entire read. The events of this book showed the unpleasant kind of morphs unfortunately for Marco, the star of this volume. Marco has always been the cautious and pessimistic one of the group and that side of him is clearly shown as we read his perspective and take in the many fears and worries he carries with him. Marco offered a sense of realism as things don't always go as planned, but he teaches us the importance of keeping control even in tough times.

The Predator is the 5th book of the Animorphs series and it is the first book to be narrated by Marco. One of my favorite Animorphs for always being right and the love for his family is just so touching. I realte to Marco's thought process and how he looks at the situation at every possible angle and his motive to join the war is so relatable.

This special book also includes the infamous ants and why it was so damn terrifying. It gets dark pretty early and I have to admit it caught me by surprise. There is a bit of bs, but I think that's just the trademark Animorphs thing that I respect.
