I knew I was going to fall down a time-travel highlander hole. This one was cute and had potential but the depth wasn't there for me. I didn't connect to the romance and it felt slightly forced. The fact that Owen constantly thought with his *second* head was brought up so many times I thought I was being hit over the head with a tree trunk. We get it- his family thinks he's irresponsible. Because of this, he avoided Amber for almost the entire book. We have a few spicy scenes that were alright, but we get his POV during them and all he can think about is how he's living up to his family's expectations of how he gets distracted by women... I just didn't feel the love from them and I know these types of books are more insta-love type and with this book it just felt forced. However, still an enjoyable, quick read.
