[A BIT SPOILER]

I read this after watching the Disney+ TV series and honestly there are so much changes and differences. I don't want to give more focus on the TV series bcs that's a different review. For this book, first of all, WHY THERE ARE SO MANY BLONDE PPL??? ANNABETH, LUKE, ANNABETH'S DAD. THERE ARE SO MANY OMFG. Second of all, I like how the gods feel so god-like and powerful. Especially the Big Three (while in the TV series, Ares and Hephaetus feel very god-like). Also, from what IK, Zeus is the most scariest god out of all 12. Even Hades. But in this book, he was the most considerate and understanding ever. And he didn't care when World War 3 is on the way. This contradict the TV series (again this a different review). Percy also was scared when he was in front Poseidon and Zeus. I like the book more honestly (very a typical statement lol) bcs of how Percy is in the book and the TV series. I love Percy book more TBH.

I enjoyed this SO MUCH! I'm so excited to have a new long series to read! In my opinion, this lands somewhere between middle grade and YA, but is written in a way that's still funny and exciting for me as an adult. I adore Percy and his sass, and his friendships with Grover and Annabeth are sweet. Also really love how much he loves his mom. This book is paced well, is both light-hearted and a bit dark, and is just a lot of fun. I can see why this series is a huge hit - even just the first book felt like something very special. It reminded me of how I felt as a kid whenever I started a new series that I'd end up being in love with for years.

Really looking forward to continuing this series.
