Un libro oscuro y duro que consigue que te metas de lleno en la sociedad que ha creado Atwood y que hace que suspires de alivio al cerrar el libro y darte cuenta de que, por suerte, tu mundo es distinto.
A veces se me ha hecho algo pesado, el final abierto no me gusta y las notas históricas me han aburrido y me han parecido innecesarias. Por el resto bien, un libro impactante.

Quick read and a good refresher of the book. Plan to read The Testaments soon, so I wanted to refamiliarize myself with the story. But I would rather reread the actual book next time. Beautiful artwork though.

La narración es sencilla, que va desde ritmos tan lentos que pueden aburrir por momentos a intensas escenas que te harán anhelar más de la historia. Contiene muchas descripciones, lo cual no es un recurso que me guste leer; pero como se me hacía tan interesante la historia lo leí como el diario que encuentras de algun antepasado y lo lees con ganas de chismecito. Sólo que en este caso el diario parecería llegar amenazadoramente del futuro. Se violan tantos derechos que pensar en vivir algo así, hace que te cuestiones muchas cosas. 

El final me dejó con un muy mal sabor de boca; por una parte me gusta la idea de la posibilidad esperanzadora de un futuro de rebeldía o cambio. Pero también siento que necesito tener un cierre porque mi imaginación no encuentra futuro posible para que se pueda romper con tal mal social como lo era Gilead. Anotaré en pendientes Los Testamentos.
