This is the book I have been waiting for. Let me tell you, as much as I loved the first two books, this one really stole my heart. We finally get to see this amazing trio in action living their daily lives and figuring out how to handle everything that can come up.
Liam & Macen finally get Raine to open up and stop shutting herself off from them (I know, about time!). However, things are never as easy and stress free as they would like. Liam has to face his past and figure out how to do that without giving up his entire future. Macen must figure out how to handle this new stress induced situation, and keep Raine from losing her progress she has finally made.
The question becomes, what is going to happen now that these three people must face the past and all the ugliness it can bring into their newly built relationship. Will Raine be able to handle the truth without running away or hiding? Will Macen be able to let go of the reins and trust Raine can handle the truth? Will Liam find out the truth without losing his future with these two other people??
This book helps us see that Raine has grown into her submission and, as expected, still has room to grow. Liam & Macen must grow in their partnering Dominance and support Raine without taking away those things they love most about her. Liam needs to be honest and open with Raine about his feelings and his needs, while Macen must also be honest and trust in her feelings.

Audiobook - decent story interesting progression for sure as they continue to struggle with each other and their past choices coming back to haunt them.

Macen "Hammer" Hammerman and Liam O'Neill have not given up on the idea of reaching Raine Kendall. They know that she has a lot of hurt and keeps secrets about her past that they're trying to help her get over. Liam's ex-wife Gwenyth shows up at the club with a life or death situation and she needs to see him immediately. Liam is out of town with Raine and Macen, forcing them to cut their trip short. Apparently, Gwenyth and Liam's son is under emotional distress from the absence of his father, at 5 months old, and has a psychotherapist. All I could think was, really? That's dumb! LOL But the more I got to know Gwenyth, the more I understood she was crazy and everything she was doing was a scheme.
Liam is forced to deal with his past, while leaving Raine with Hammer and his jealousy gets the better of him. His jealousy leaves him feeling that Raine only needs Hammer and not him. Hammer is the rock of the trio, and he's trying to help Liam and take care of Raine at the same time. They balance each other out and I think that's why they make such a good team. Hammer and Liam are trying to figure out what Gwenyth's scheme is when the baby gets sick and she tells Liam everything, thinking he'd help her get out her mess.
Raine's father is not a good man, he abused her as a child. When he comes back because Hammer quit paying him his monthly stipend, he felt he was due his payment. Her father kidnaps her and tells her everything he did to her siblings and mother. Gwenyth worked with Raine's father to manipulate Liam into doing what she wants, paying him. Even after hearing everything that was said between Liam and Mr. Kendall she never believed that Raine would be harmed. She just wanted her way. I was happy to see her going to jail.
When I started this four part serial I figured I would be able to read it and still be able to get done what I needed to. I was wrong, once I started the first book I feel like I didn't surface again until the end of this one and that's only because I have to wait for the 4th part. Raine is a strong woman, a fighter, and willing to do whatever it takes to survive. I'm glad that she was able to slay her dragon once and for all and is now starting her own family. The end of this part was surprising, but something that adds another dimension to the characters and the next part. I can't wait to see how they react and how the dynamics change. I also enjoyed watching Seth and Beck, the more I get to know them the more that I hope we are able to see them get their own book.

I mean Liam and Hammer spent much of the last book hammering honesty and communication into Raine but did they practice what they preached? I enjoyed seeing Hammer and Liam butt heads a bit about how much honesty is too much. I loved seeing that Raine had learned and with a reminder just what submission meant, at least to her men. Ms. Black, Ms. Jacobs and Ms. Lapearl allowed Raine to learn and grow even as she showed her men she could take and be whatever they needed. This story was at times a comedy of errors but underlying that was a show of growth and acceptance. I can't wait to see where these ladies will take us next!

I cannot get enough of Hammer, Liam and Raine. The story twisted and turned from beginning to end. I could not put it down. Best book in the series thus far!!Cannot wait for the last installment to see how it all pans out. Outstanding!!

The first two books of this series were wickedly good, but #3 takes things off the rails--in all the best ways. A lot of times in a romantic serial, a reader can start to feel like the same issues are being rehashed again and again in the same ways. It's tough to find "newness" to the core conflicts. The magical trio of Ms. Black, Jacob, and LaPearl clearly stretched to make sure this wasn't the case, giving Hammer, Liam, and Raine completely new obstacles to overcome, while delving to incredible new depths of all three characters.
That leads me to address the best aspect of this work. It's undoubtedly these three people, who one roots for at the same time you want to really bop them (a lot like real-life friends sometimes!), who make up the lion's share of the depth and beauty to this series. What I love the best about the story is that they don't just use the D/s dynamic as an "escape" for their relationship. It's their tool--their conduit to the ultimate honesty and communication that is the only thing that can truly save them--yet many times, the very dynamic that ruins them, too. All three of them are just SO messed up--and because of that, so exquisitely beautiful to explore for me as a reader.
Anxiously awaiting the last installment in this VERY exceptional series!
That leads me to address the best aspect of this work. Holy mind blown here! I had some idea that this book would be focused on the drama of Liam's ex wife reentering the picture but boy did I not see that coming. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop with Raine's father but WOW. So again, I found myself wanting to give Liam and Hammer a smack upside the head for some of their actions but they led to the plot line of the story so I can't really fault that. If they hadn't had those moments the story wouldn't have been as good. I can't even begin to find the words to describe the ending. I saw some kind of altercation but I didn't see things ending the way they did. Poor Raine and how will this effect her willingness to trust and communicate moving forward. Lastly, how will the pregnancy affect this budding relationship? ARGH!! I need book 4!!!

I have no clue where to even begin.
Let's start with the love I have for these amazing characters, Raine, Hammer and Liam, they own me. I feel a connection to them like I've never had before. After the way book 2 ended I was on pins and needles to see where this one would take us. It took me on the rise of my life, I couldn't put this book down even when I needed to.
The main characters of course are the heart of this book but the supporting cast, Seth and Beck, they played an amazing role in creating a spellbinding story from beginning to end.
When they thought life was complete and they could finally start their life together Hammer Raine and Liam are thrown for this huge loop. When Liam's past can ruin his future he needs to handle it. And when Raine's past threatens to steal her future she must fight.
There isn't much more I can say without giving anything away.
